April 2015 Guild Matters: Notes from Our President: We’re 25!
This Saturday will be special for us. Though our roots go back to the 1970s and the work of our founder, The Guild of Catholic Women (GCW), Saturday marks Guild Incorporated’s 25th anniversary. To honor this milestone, we’re launching something we’re calling “25 for 25.”
“25 for 25” is about storytelling – 25 Stories for 25 Years. The stories will be about the people and innovations that have helped us get where we are today as well as those that are helping us prepare for the future. You’ll hear from clients served, family members, staff, donors, volunteers, and partners in our work. You can read the first story now. The marketing communications folks tell me it’s not to be missed.
We’re going to honor our anniversary for the rest of the year, so watch for more stories and other fun things we’ve got in store for you. Help us honor this milestone year by:
- Reading the “25 for 25” stories: Start with the first one today.
- Following along in social media: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We’ll provide something for everyone – long-time friends and new: historical details, did you knows, and the not-to-be-missed “Throw Back Thursdays.” This will be a great way to share some laughter, build and/or test your knowledge about Guild Incorporated, stroll down memory lane, and maybe even get a glimpse into Guild’s future.
- Sharing: Along the way, we’ll ask you to share your favorite moments from your own relationship with Guild Incorporated. We look forward to hearing them!
None of the moments, memories, and stories that we’ll feature (and hope you’ll share) would be possible without your friendship and support. Thank you for being a part of our 25 year history, and for moving forward with us into the future.
P.S. The last 25 years have brought lots of changes and innovations, but what work is still left for us to do? Head over to Facebook, and post your comments. I’d like to know what you think.
