Annual Meeting Brings Change to Board of Directors
Joe Clubb, MSW, LICSW, is Vice President of Allina Health’s Mental Health and Addiction Services. He is charged with leading the strategy and setting the vision for this clinical service line. Previously, he served as the service line administrator for Mental Health and Addiction Care for the HealthEast Care System in St. Paul.
Joe has developed effective care management models. He has brought mental health and addiction service lines to new levels, transforming addiction care, growing outpatient programs, and improving Emergency Department flow through better access to outpatient services and increased inpatient capacity.
Joe spearheaded the development of the East Metro Mental Health Urgent Care Center. It’s a unique model that is the first in the state to bring together the county and three health care systems. It’s been a successful and innovative way for mental health patients to seek help in St. Paul and surrounding areas.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from St. John’s University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota. Joe is also an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg College. He is an advisory board member of the Minnesota Hospital Association. He is also on the Board Of Directors for the Associated Health Care Credit Union.
Joe enjoys spending time with his family, including his spouse Anne, 7 children, their spouses, and his 5 grandchildren.
While welcoming Joe to our board, we’d also like to thank departing members for their commitment and service: Tom Halverson, Nico Kelly, and Sarah Kottke. Tom Halverson joined the board in 2016 and served as a member of the finance committee. Sarah Kottke also joined the board in 2016, and Nico Kelly joined in 2018, completing a six-month pilot term as our first Client Representative.
