RISE was a celebratory performance and a culmination of an 11-week series of movement and art workshops. “This work has focused on the heart”, says guest artist Vanessa Voskuil, “a journey into the heart can be very healing, providing a time to reflect and focus on creating enjoyable experiences that help to release tension in the body and mind.”
Funded in part by the Minnesota States Art Board, performances were held October 25 & 26 at the Landmark Center in St. Paul, MN. The performance was followed by an Audience Talkback session with the performing artists and leaders from the mental health services community.
